William Reed is President and Chief Executive Officer of Black Press International. He has been a Media Entrepreneur for over two decades. A well-trained marketing and communications professional, Reed has a national reputation for his expert writing, speaking, organizational, research, management and motivation abilities, along with strong managerial, presentation and sales skills. A long-time Washington insider, Reeds special strengths include: public and community relations; grass-roots organizing; script and speech writing, legislative affairs tracking and research; and access to a network of national and local government, business and organizational policy-makers and public opinion-molders. Bill Reeds professional background includes: government service as Census 2000s Media Specialist for the National Capital Area, and over 15 years of being in the forefront of Black Media exposure and experience. His syndicated commentaries and news reporting appear in over 140 of Americas black-oriented newspapers. He has served as Executive Director for the National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA). Reed is a former middle-level management executive for the Bell Telephone System turned media entrepreneur, he was held numerous media-oriented Fellowships and was honored in 1995 by the National Black Masters of Business Administration as the "Outstanding Business Communicator of the Year" for the national impact of his messages toward black economic development efforts across America. Mr. Reed is publisher of the Who's Who in Black Corporate America Register, and a leading expert on the African-American presence and contributions among the country's businesses and corporations.
